The VULCAN VRX82A active subwoofer’s flat, rounded rear design allows for installation in the spare tire well or upright placement using the included rubber feet. The key feature of the VULCAN subwoofer system is its passive radiator, which, in addition to the actively driven woofer, provides the extra air displacement crucial for low frequencies. The VRX82A has an advantage here, as conventional bass-reflex enclosures tend to generate port noise, which also reduces valuable internal volume. This is not the case with systems featuring a passive radiator, which functions like a bass-reflex port – but without the annoying noise. An integrated Class D amplifier with over 80% efficiency delivers a powerful 200 W/RMS to the subwoofer.

The VRX82A is particularly effective in this regard.
