We’ve all been there: After a long day’s work, the speakers are finally installed, it’s time for the first listening test, but something’s not right: No sign of enjoying the music. Annoying background noises, unrelated to the music, overwhelm the listening experience. Everything rattles and vibrates! In this case, there’s only one solution – proper door damping! HiFonics offers the perfect materials for this: ZEUS AluButyl damping material.
Small door speakers or under-seat subwoofers don’t cause the passenger compartment or metal panels to vibrate as much as larger 15″ subwoofers. This is why even newer luxury vehicles often have better sound insulation from the factory than simpler or older vehicles. Since the intended use can vary greatly, HiFonics offers different quality levels depending on the system’s power and requirements: The HiFonics ZEUS 100dB and ZEUS 120dB aluminum butyl sound deadening material achieves very good results in most vehicles. If more powerful audio components are used, or if a higher level of sound deadening is desired, the even more effective ZEUS 140dB aluminum butyl is recommended. For those who want to crank up the volume in their car or simply want to be on the safe side, HiFonics recommends the ZEUS 160dB, which offers the highest level of sound deadening. It dampens sheet metal almost perfectly due to its even higher internal density and a higher mechanical loss factor.
